MMRH digital:
The legacy of
Dr. med. Klaus-Henning Gypser
in the digital age
Some scientific works in homeopathy have stood the test of time for generations — knowledge that must be preserved because it provides invaluable insight for everyday practice and research. The Materia Medica Revisa Homoeopathiae (MMRH) already ranks among these foundational texts. Published by Dr. Gypser (1955-2024), one of the leading homeopaths of his time, with the aim of providing practitioners and scientists with a reliable set of instruments to, as Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) wrote, “make sick people well, which is called healing”. Edited by Dr. Klaus-Henning Gypser (1955–2024), one of the leading homeopaths of his time, the MMRH was created with the aim of equipping both practitioners and researchers with a reliable instrument — so that, in the words of Samuel Hahnemann (1755–1843) “to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed.” Over decades of meticulous work, Dr. Gypser and his dedicated team reviewed and processed homeopathic literature, including 587 different journals. Before the release of MMRH, homeopathy lacked a current, comprehensive compilation of proven remedies and clinically observed symptoms–neither in the German-speaking world nor internationally.
The last such works — Allen’s Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica and Hering’s Guiding Symptoms of Our Materia Medica, published between 1875–97 and 1879–91 — were already incomplete and error-prone at the time of their release. As a result, no matter of what kind of homeopathy-"school", practitioners had no access to a reliable source of primary material. This problem has not been resolved by existing computer programs either. And until now, this knowledge existed only in print. Following Dr. Gypser’s passing, we — his family — see it as our duty not to alter or add to his work, but to make it accessible in its original form to all who wish to use, study, or build upon it. With MMRH digital, the Materia Medica Revisa Homoeopathiae enters a new era.
This foundational work includes 68 remedies—from Adhatoda to Zincum — with 98,029 symptoms. Every entry has been thoroughly reviewed, fully referenced, and clearly marked for clinical relevance.
With MMRH digital, we are bringing his Materia Medica into the future.

Why MMRH Digital?
The original texts remain untouched — only their use becomes simpler. We understand how frequently practitioners consult this knowledge in clinics, seminars, and research. Until now, this meant flipping through books — often several at once.

About Dr. Klaus-Henning Gypser
Dr. Gypser was one of the foremost homeopaths of his generation. His passion for classical homeopathy was sparked early on by his family doctor. Even during his medical studies, he had the privilege of studying with renowned homeopaths like Dr. Jost Künzli (1915–1992), Dr. Will Klunker (1923–2002), and Dr. Georg von Keller (1919–2003).
He maintained his own private practice, published over 200 academic articles and 18 books — including Bönninghausen’s Therapeutisches Taschenbuch and Kent’s Minor Writings on Homoeopathy — and served as editor of the Zeitschrift für Klassische Homöopathie and the Classical Homoeopathy Quarterly. He also founded the Glees Academy of Homeopathic Physicians, which operated until 2022, with the goal of revising the Materia Medica. Dr. Gypser shared his knowledge in numerous international seminars and at universities. His rigorous research
